In 2016, artist, activist, and MacArthur genius awardee LaToya Ruby Frazier spent five months living in Flint, Michigan to document how working-class families of color survived one of the most devastating ecological disasters in U.S. history. In this artist talk, Frazier will share images and insights into her photographic work FLINT IS FAMILY, as well as reflections on her current project about the impacts of COVID-19 on Black communities.
Artist talk presented by the Buffett Institute's Climate Crisis + Media Arts Working Group and the Hoffman Visiting Artist Series.
